Walk-in Shower Bath Installation in Stoborough

This customer in Stoborough wanted an easy to access shower, but also wished to keep their bath. Ease of access was the priority, but their bathroom was not large enough to accommodate a separate bath and shower enclosure. Our solution was to install a combined walk-in bath and shower.

Easy access bathing often means replacing a bath with a low-profile shower tray and walk-in shower. Perfect if you like a shower, but a compromise if you enjoy or find soaking in the bath physically beneficial. When space doesn’t allow for bath and separate shower, and accessing a shower over the bath is difficult or dangerous, the answer is to install a special combined walk-in shower and bath.

Walk-in shower baths, the best of both world’s

Walk-in shower baths are an innovative solution to easy access bathing and showering. They are like a normal bath, but with a door in the side to allow easy walk-in. The door has a strong waterproof seal, that when closed allows the bath to be filled or showered in. The added benefit is that, when used as a bath, the occupant can simply step in and fill the bath from inside, then drain the water and simply step out again.

A quick bathroom renovation

For this bathroom renovation in Stoborough, we removed the old bath and wall tiles before installing a new Elegance 1600x700mm walk-in bath with matched shower screen from Bathe Easy. Our tilers then retiled around the bath with large white glass 600x300mm tiles for a bright modern look. For the shower we fitted a neat Roper Rhodes Event combined shower and bath filler. The client had originally intended to keep their existing basin, but on seeing the finished shower bath and tiling, decided to upgrade to a new 600mm Roper Rhodes Academy wall hung basin and drawer unit, also in white.
