Bespoke Shower Enclosure Corfe Mullen

Our customer in Corfe Mullen wanted to replace their old, framed pentagon shower enclosure. You would be forgiven for thinking this would be a straightforward job, but the sloping ceilings in the bathroom would require custom solution.

Angled frameless showers for awkward spaces

As shower enclosure specialists, with our own in-house team, we are experienced in making bespoke shower screens and enclosures for all kinds of awkward spaces. And angled showers for sloping ceilings are a common request. To create the shower enclosure our customer required, we used our own fully frameless system using 10mm glass.

Our frameless glass showers are bespoke products, made to fit the space precisely, and do not feature an adjustable frame. Therefore, exact measurements are taken so that we can cut the glass panels fit the contours of the walls and ceilings. The result is a beautiful angled frameless glass shower, uncluttered by metal profiles, that we can produce to fit practically any space.

Before we could take measurements, our shower team had to remove the existing shower. This involved removing all the old silicone sealant from the shower tray as it was not being replaced. After taking measurements, our shower team resealed the tray to the tiles. Silicone sealant deteriorates over time and is one of the most common causes of leaks. The new silicone seal would prevent problems in the future.

A refresh with Roper Rhodes

As part of the renovation, we also took the opportunity to replace the existing shower valve and riser kit with modern items from Roper Rhodes. The recessed shower valve was replaced with their popular Code single function valve, paired with a Recite riser kit and handheld shower head.

How we created the new frameless pentagon shower enclosure

With measurements taken we were able to order the 10mm glass sheets, 4 panels would be required for this pentagon shower. Within 2 weeks the glass and components arrived, and our shower team returned to install the new frameless shower enclosure with angled side panel. The glass panels were attached to the walls and ceiling with discreet chrome brackets, and then sealed in place with clear silicone for seamless finish. A top bracing bar was added for added strength. The installation of the frameless shower took our team around half a day and the client is delighted with the results.
