Sandford Family Bathroom Makeover

Our customer in Sandford was so delighted with the ensuite bathroom we created for them, they asked us to come back to transform their family bathroom.

This project involved a complete renovation of the existing family bathroom. Although the layout would remain the same, the bath would be replaced with a large walk-in shower. To allow the customer to view the proposed design and layout changes, including product specifications and tiles, we created a virtual 3D design of their new bathroom with full colour HD renderings. With our 3d bathroom design software, customers not only see life like renderings of their new bathroom, but also how layout changes affect the design and how they will interact and move around the space.

Tiled from floor to ceiling

Having made quick work of stripping out the old family bathroom and making good the walls and floor, our tilers could get to work. For the walls, now tiled floor to ceiling, our tilers installed large format Eclipse matt grey stone effect porcelain tiles, with a lovey waterfall feature in the shower using smaller decor tiles from the same range. For the floor, we installed attractive patterned square feature tiles that give the bathroom a luxury touch and a sense of occasion.

A great big new shower

For the new shower, we replaced the bath with a pure white “Base” shower tray from Drench. The ultra-low profile allows easy access and looks sleek, while the 1700x800mm size creates a lovely large shower. Drench Base shower trays are great for this type of application as they are made from a solid stone polymer and can be trimmed to fit the space precisely. We completed the new walk-in shower with a Roper Rhodes thermostatic shower valve and riser kit, and a Design semi frameless fixed shower screen.

Juniper green for a splash of luxury

The old freestanding toilet and sink unit were replaced with Roper Rhodes Aruba fitted furniture in lovely dark Juniper Green. Smart and modern, the fitted future houses the concealed cistern for the R2 Radar toilet and is topped off with the Motif solid surface worktop and integrated basin in pure white colour. Making for a nice contrast with the dark units. Above the basin unit we installed a large 1100mm Imex bathroom mirror with concealed LED edge lighting, projecting a lovely glow on the wall.

The project was completed in only 2 and a half weeks, our client is delighted with their new family bathroom and had this to say about the project.
