New Shower Room Installation in Carey, Dorset

We recently created this new Shower room for a couple in Carey, close to our showroom in Wareham, Dorset.  We installed new gloss white fitted bathroom furniture from Roper Rhodes, a luxurious Crosswater curved shower enclosure, and fully tiled the walls and floors.  The result is stylish and modern but also easy to clean.

Tiled from floor to ceiling

The project was a straightforward refurbishment of an existing bathroom, and our installation team completed the works in 2 weeks.  Once the team had stripped out the old bathroom and tiles, they set about renewing some of the plumbing and preparing the walls and floors ready for our tiler to get to work. As the floor and all walls would be fully tiled, he had his work cut out for him. Our clients chose Essential stone 300x600mm tiles for the floor in charcoal colour with contrasting light grey Cloister rectified 300x600mm tiles for the walls. The tile colours create a nice contrast, and the large size makes the bathroom feel bigger.

A sweet suite

With all tiling complete, we were able to crack on with installing the new bathroom. For the fitted bathroom cabinets, the client chose white gloss units with black fittings, including a concealed cistern unit and basin, with nicely contrasting 3m long black granite effect worktop from Roper Rhodes.  The wide semi-recessed basin is from Roper Rhodes ‘Cover’ range and is matched with their Crew single lever basin mixer and click-clack waste. The rimless toilet, again Roper Rhodes ‘Cover’ range, features a soft close seat and black minimalist flush plate.

Maximising showering space

To maximise the space available within the shower enclosure, we installed a curved quadrant shower enclosure. This curved design created space around the basin but, at 1000mm x 800mm in size, still provided a large luxurious shower. A Crosswater ultra low-profile shower tray with Kai 6 curved quadrant shower enclosure with thick 6mm glass and single sliding door, providing a wide access without encroaching into the room.

To complete the shower, we installed the R2 Joy push button control diverter shower valve in chrome, with large drench showerhead and hand shower with adjustable riser kit, also from Roper Rhodes. The curved chrome towel radiator from Bathrooms to Love completed the new shower room.
