Making space with the help of virtual reality

The bathroom layout did not make the best use of space, and our customer wanted a large walk-in shower to replace their bath. Using our Virtual Worlds design software, we were able to create a scheme that provided space for the shower. The original proposal had a narrow cupboard to the left of the basin, by repositioning this to the right of the toilet we were able to increase the access to the new walk-in shower. Virtual Worlds made this process easy, while allowing the customer to see their new bathroom, and layout changes, in virtual reality before any work had started.

Burford traditional style fitted furniture

Our customer wanted a traditional look for their new bathroom and loved the Burford furniture we suggested from Roper Rhodes. This stylish range of modular bathroom cabinets, concealed cistern units, and basin units provides modern functionality with a traditional shaker style available in a choice of 5 beautiful hand painted finishes. Another great feature of the Burford range is that it is available in standard or 218mm slimline depth for bathrooms where space is at a premium. Our customer chose a pebble grey painted finish with a luxurious solid strata white composite stone worktop, which contrasted nicely with the subway tiles and Karndean Knight Tile stone effect dove grey luxury vinyl flooring. A Halcyon traditional style semi-recessed basin and back to wall toilet, again from Roper Rhodes, completed the installation.

Bath out, shower in!

This was another project where the customer wanted to remove the bath to create a much larger walk-in shower enclosure. This is something that we are being asked to do frequently for customers, particularly as we can supply shower trays in direct bath replacement sizes. We installed a low profile 1800x800mm Drench Base shower tray in white, with a fixed walk-in shower screen. The client did not want tiles in the shower area, preferring grout free walls that would be easy to keep clean. To this end, we installed BB Nuance seamless shower wall panels in white Frost colour. The customer had seen the Nuance shower wall panels on display in our showroom and loved both the colour and practicality. A Roper Rhodes thermostatic shower valve with hand shower attachment and overhead drench shower completed the new luxury shower.
