Luxury Frameless Shower For Ensuite Bathroom in West Sussex

This project involved creating and installing a luxury frameless shower enclosure for a customer in Pulborough West Sussex. We also supplied the shower tray and wall and floor tiles for this refurbishment of an ensuite bathroom.

A large shower was the priority

The refurbishment of this luxury ensuite bathroom, by the clients, included moving most of the plumbing, installing a new 3 bar pumped system for the shower, bespoke cabinetry, and mirrors for a total transformation. When it came to the shower enclosure, they wanted something befitting of the space and contacted us for help. The shower was an important part of the project, a point raised by the customer.

Luxury tiles and bespoke shower trays

For this project, we also supplied large format 120x60cm matt Carrara marble effect porcelain tiles for the shower and bathroom walls, and 80x80cm grey concrete effect porcelain floor tiles for installation by the client’s tiler. The customer wanted a low-profile stone effect shower tray but did not like the chrome wastes that come with most trays. We were able to supply a white stone effect 1200x800mm made to measure Matki Preference  shower tray with matching stone effect waste cover.

Let’s take it to the ceiling!

With all tiling, grouting and silicone sealing completed, our head technician, James, visited to take detailed measurements and agree the layout for the bespoke shower enclosure. The client wanted a hinge shower door between two glass inline panels, but they did not want to have an upper support rail. To get around this issue we made the two fixed inline panels full height and attached the panels to the ceiling to provide the support need to hang the hinged door.

A dream realised

Two weeks after taking detailed measurements, the glass and components were ready, and we returned to Pulborough to install the new frameless shower enclosure. The installation took our engineers a morning to complete, including sealing up and cleaning. After leaving the sealant to dry for 24hrs, our customer had the large luxury shower they had dreamed of and their new ensuite bathroom was complete. The customer was delighted, the marble effect tiles, and indigo blue colour used for the units and accent wall contrast nicely with the chrome fixtures and fittings.
